Transactional Survey
A transactional survey is feedback captured immediately after a specific customer interaction — a branch visit, a support call, a delivery, an app session. The goal is to understand how the customer felt about that one moment, while it’s still fresh.
Transactional surveys are usually short — one to three questions — because they’re designed for high response rates right after an interaction, not for in-depth research.
Transactional vs Relationship Surveys
Transactional surveys ask “how was this specific interaction?” Relationship surveys ask “how do you feel about us overall?” Most CX programmes use both: transactional surveys to catch and fix issues at individual touchpoints, relationship surveys to track the broader trend of customer loyalty over time.
