Engineering Manager (MEAN Stack)
Responsibilities:
- Leading the product engineering team.
- Coordinating with multiple module leads and QA team.
- Assigning tasks to module leads / engineers based on prioritisation and initiation of product managers.
- Gauging the progress of engineering initiatives.
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders.
- Providing status reports on a regular basis to update the key stakeholders.
- Recruiting and training new employees.
- Providing feedback to the team.
- Setting KRA for team members to achieve goals of the organisation.
- Aligning the product management team with the engineering team to ensure success of every sprint.
- Understanding of distributed system concepts and web applications.
- Basic understanding of technologies: languages such as Python, JavaScript, AngularJS, Java, technologies such as Kafka, and databases including MongoDB.
Education, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in a computer science related field.
- Should have worked as an engineering manager with a team size of 50 members for 3+ years.
- Ability to summarise.
- Strong analytical abilities.
- Excellent problem solver.
- Interpersonal skills to manage engineers.
- Ability to give constructive feedback.
